PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR

Dr. Bridgette Kelleher is a Professor of both Psychology and Community & Global Health at Indiana University Indianapolis, where she also serves as Director of Digital Health for the Indiana University Institute for Human Health and Wellbeing (H2W). She obtained her Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina (2015) after completing her APA-certified clinical internship at the Medical University of South Carolina/Charleston Consortium. Kelleher’s internationally recognized research program focuses on optimizing clinical outcomes in “high risk” populations, with particular focus on using technology-driven solutions to assess and treat families affected by rare disorders. Her current research addresses three primary questions:
Kelleher works with a variety of communities to address these questions, including children with rare neurogenetic syndromes and their families. Her research has been supported through a variety of active research grants funded by the National Institutes of Health, Angelman Syndrome Foundation, Foundation for Prader Willi Research, and Williams Syndrome Association. She is also a Fellow of the American Psychological Association. |
GRADUATE STUDENTS

Eilis McLaughlin is a third-year clinical psychology doctoral student under Dr. Kelleher's mentorship. She joined the lab in 2024 and is interested in researching the relationship and interaction between an infant and their caregivers. She graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2022 with a B.S. in Biological Sciences, and after graduation worked as a research coordinator at USC conducting research on the early detection of autism spectrum disorder. She plans to continue utilizing biobehavioral markers to better understand development in children with neurodevelopmental and neurogenetic disorders.

Batsheva Friedman is a first-year clinical psychology doctoral student under Dr. Kelleher’s mentorship. She joined the lab in 2026. Her interests center on the role of caregiver perspectives in defining meaningful outcomes for individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions and their families. Before beginning doctoral training, she worked as a Clinical Research Manager at Boston Children’s Hospital, where she supported a multisite longitudinal study of developmental outcomes and caregiver concerns in Angelman syndrome. She completed her undergraduate degree in social work and hopes to draw on this foundation to examine how remote assessment methods can capture child development while improving families’ experiences with research.

LABORATORY STAFF AND POST-DOCS

Veronika Vozka (Peskova), MS started collaboration with Dr. Kelleher at Purdue University in 2020 through the PIIN Biosensors Project. Veronika joined the lab in 2021 as the Research Associate for the Wellbeing of Caregivers via Telehealth project. She earned her master’s degree in technology leadership and innovation from Purdue University. In her most recent role, Veronika was the Senior Clinical Research Associate on NIH‐funded multi‐ site R01 project WellCAST that used personalized health technology to inform how to best remotely support caregivers and children with rare neurogenetic disorders. Now a Laboratory Research Specialist at IUI, she continues to support the lab and its projects in project design, deliverables and completion.

Lyndsey N. Graham, PhD, CCLS is a Research Assistant Professor in the Kelleher Lab. Dr. Graham's research works to advance interventions and supports that promote well-being among parents of children with rare, chronic, and complex medical conditions. Informed by her clinical work as a Certified Child Life Specialist, her research integrates ecological momentary assessments, telehealth intervention delivery, and community-engaged approaches to both understand and address the daily challenges faced by parent caregivers.

Riley Naughton, BS joined the lab as an undergraduate research assistant at Purdue in Spring 2023, contributing to Project WellCAST. She now serves as a Clinical Research Technician, supporting the day-to-day operations of the lab and coordinating research activities across multiple longitudinal studies. Her work includes participant recruitment and retention, REDCap database development and management, study coordination, and supervision of undergraduate research assistants. Riley's primary research interests focus on how family, caregiver, and environmental factors influence child development and mental health outcomes. She plans to pursue graduate training and continue a career in community and developmental research.

Abby Browning is a current freshman at Purdue University and joined the lab in the Fall of 2026. She works as a research assistant on the PANDABox study. She is currently working toward her degree in Brain and Behavioral Sciences, planning to complete research honors and a combined degree program to earn a Master of Public Health. After earning her degrees, she plans to attend medical school to specialize in either pediatric neurology or pediatric emergency medicine. In her free time, Abby enjoys volunteering, meeting new people, doing Pilates, spending time with friends and family, and trying out random new hobbies just for fun.

Timothy Caminero is a current junior at Purdue University and joined the lab in the Summer of 2026. He works as a research assistant on the CareBEAM and PANDABox studies. He is currently working towards his degree in in Brain and Behavioral Sciences. After earning his Bachelors, he plans to either go pursue his MD or PhD in Clinical Psychology. In his free time, Tim likes to cook, read, and garden.

Lauren Faletti is a current senior at Purdue University and joined the lab in the Fall of 2026. They work as a research assistant on the PANDABox study. They are currently working toward their degree in psychology with a minor in horticulture. After earning their Bachelor's, they plan to pursue a master's and EdS degree in school psychology. In their free time, Lauren loves to cook, hike, run, and read.

Jodie Gong is a current sophomore at Purdue University and joined the lab in the Summer of 2026. She works as a research assistant on the PANDABox study. She is currently working toward her degree in Biomedical Engineering. After earning her Bachelor's, she plans to go to a graduate school or apply for a medical school. In her free time, Jodie likes to play board games, spend time with her friends and cat, and cook.

She is currently working toward her degree in Biomedical Health Sciences with a Pre-Medicine Concentration. After earning her Bachelor's, she plan to pursue medical school and become a General Pediatrician. In her free time, Abby likes to read, volunteer, paint, craft random Pinterest pins, and hike.

She is currently working toward her degree in Brain and Behavioral Sciences with a Biology minor. After earning her Bachelor's, she plans to attend medical school. In her free time, Julia likes to do anything outdoors, travel, and spend time with friends.

Anthony Prabhu-Hensley is a current senior at Purdue University and joined the lab in the Fall of 2026. He works as a research assistant on the PANDABox study. They are currently working toward their degree in Brain and Behavioral Sciences, with minors in French, Italian, Philosophy, and Critical Disability Studies. After earning his Bachelor's, he plans to pursue a Ph.D. and dedicate more time to writing and releasing original music. In their free time, Anthony likes to sing, play the piano and pipe organ, and embroider. He can usually be found listening to emo music or re-watching Project Hail Mary.

Valerie Trinh is a current senior at Purdue University and joined the lab in the Summer of 2026. She works as a research assistant on the PANDABox study. She is currently working toward her degree in Psychological Sciences with minors in Sociology and HDFS. After earning her Bachelor’s, she plans to take a gap year and apply to medical school later on. In her free time, Valerie likes to try new foods, game, watch anime, read, and spend time with her cat.

She is currently working toward her degree in Biomedical Health Sciences. After earning her Bachelor's, she plans to attend medical school. In her free time, Maggie likes to go thrift shopping, take cardio/strength classes, and go to local pop-up markets with friends and family.

Page Olson, BS joined the lab in the Spring of 2025. They finished their degrees in psychology and sociology in the Spring of 2026. Now graduated, they plan to gain post-bacc research experience and attend a Social Psych PhD program. Their research interests include how peer relationships for individuals with IDD living in community homes shape their satisfaction and stress outcomes. In their free time, they attend DIY shows, read high fantasy, and write music.
