Welcome to the CareBEAM Study!
Our goal is to improve tools to help monitor challenging behaviors in individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions. By developing better assessment methods, we hope to help clinicians and families better identify what children need. We also hope these tools can improve clinical trials by providing a more accurate picture of how children’s behaviors change with time.
In this study, we are using a novel assessment technique called ecological momentary assessment, or “EMA.” In our study, we simply call these “CareBEAMs.” Each evening, caregiver receive a brief questionnaire asking about their day and, particularly, their child’s challenging behaviors within the past 24 hours.
